Harrow, managed to find some time to actually go take more photos. Work has been quite busy and I just got hired as Bellboy/Lobby Hotel Attendant for the Marriott Hotel. Might even squeeze in another job as Temp at the SFU bookstore again and earn BRING BRING.

As of now I am considering exchange, which locations do you all think is a nice one? Germany,Italy,France,Turkey, or Switzerland? Apparently Switzerland is dying for students to go so you’re basically gauranteed 4000 francs if accepted (3600$ canadian), but that amount seems very little if you’re staying at some expensive place for 4 months especially when flaming-wok quality food is 22$ canadian over there.

Unfortunately I have planned to shoot some pictures today but the weather seems to think otherwise. I think I will try to do something with this rainy weather but as of now I’m still quite unsure since I’m afraid of getting my camera wet since the body isn’t really weatherproof. I would much rather it be pouring than in between, because now there’s just less light and not somber enough to be considered rainy.

Aside from that, I just saw the movie Kick-Ass yesterday and I have to say it’s the BEST movie I’ve seen this year. Really impressed by the director and the whole movie in general. Would definitely watch it again and buy it on DVD! The director went out of his way to make the Action scenes much more gorey and the music choice was just epic. A definite view for this spring!

Today’s going to be very very slow. I only have one assignment to do then I’m free! I think I’ll have to start making my own personal schedule to keep me productive. (any suggestions?)

Movie Review: How to train your dragon was pretty good, I mean all movies nowadays follow the same Hollywood formula, but Dreamworks manages to make the characters very charming so the viewers can overlook the predictable narrative. I wish it had more “shrek” comedy though, because the introduction of the movie was very well done, I love it when there are spoofs of movie cliches and etc.

*Update: Alright, not much happened throughout the day, pounded the paper and finally got it over with. Got my midterm paper back and liked the grade! Now I have one more assignment before it’s going to be exam season. Anyway, due to the extremely busy Easter weekend, I’ve been quite busy and beginning to run out of pictures! Gonna start taking some more pictures soon.

Saw Clash of the titans today… The director decided to rip everything from epic movies like LOTR, King Kong, and 300 and just mash them all up with a Greek twist. So you end up with a montage of a montage of a montage of … ya.

IN OTHER NEWS, Saw John Mayer concert yesterday and couldn’t help but be amazed by the guitar and drum solos. Hope to one day have SOME sort of musical talent.

Alright guys, turns out that Browns Social house is not making as much profit as expected so Labor cost is greatly cut. Therefore most my shifts are “on call” rather than established ones. Hence I am not really getting any steady income. At the same time I’m paying my phone bills, and will be attending a Lupe Fiasco concert (thank god tickets were only 45$). But just letting you know about where I am financially. The Rebel t2i will most likely take longer than expected. But the good news is my Canon AE1 started working miraculously without the need to pay 60-90$ worth of repair fee ! I bought some color and B&W film and will start shooting as soon as I finish my essay due tomorrow!

Anyway, about this concert… it’s all the way in Seattle so if anyone wants to come road trip with us. It’ll be a blast! Of course you have to be a true lover of hip hop because Lupe is freakin’ BAWSSSSS. And also B.O.B is opening for him, so expect “Nothing on you” to be performed live as well!

On a side note,  what’s the creepiest encounter you’ve ever witnessed or experienced?

Mine was just yesterday when these 2 smelly hobos were hitting on this woman. Like they literally checked her out for a full 5 minutes non-stop before they tried to start a conversation with her and try to figure out if she’s taken or not etc.  1 was somewhat coherent, the other was just staring off into space as he repeated what the guy said with some embellishment of swear words. The morale of this lesson is, don’t look pretty in public transit!

Alright, usually I’d put down my own material and stuff, but Natalie’s dad has this picture printed out and taped on the wall and every time I walk by it I just can’t stop laughing.

I forgot to bring this up, but speaking of LGs in the last post, isn’t this new celebrity Justin Bieber just promoting pedophilia? I mean in all his music videos he’s got these 13 year olds dancing and clubbing which is just weird. I mean if they were older girls, I guess it’d promote Cougarism. But still, I think some of these music video things make no sense at all. I just really hate the idea that the media’s earning big money off insecure teenage girls. I remember back in the days when pokemon kept us sweet and innocent (since you can’t be violent without a pokemon).

Anyway I am glad to see the sun rising and Tennis season shall be approaching! It’ll be a fun year full of sports and board games and trying to get crap done! Applying for Field School and Co-Op seems to be a lot more work than I thought, I’ve realized that the Universities have so many opportunities open for us but we’re just too lazy to go find it

In other news, I’ve been really addicted to this song “B.O.B ft. Bruno Mars – Nothing on You” I can’t seem to stop listening to it. I think it has all the things you need in a damn good catchy song, Piano, good chorus vocalist, and a catchy rapper. WA WA WI WA?! Seems like nowadays you just need a one hit wonder to be rich. Random peeve about music: I am not a big fan of people who hate artists who are exploring new genres because change is constant so they should not expect “Indie” musicians to stay Indie.

Anyway, the fact that I’m somewhat consistently posting in this blog just shows me following my schedule Taking baby steps to avoid procrastination. I think a lot of those “personal development” kind of tips are really useless because in the end no matter how many time management tips they throw at you, you’ll never be able to actually do it because you don’t have the initiative or motivation. The truth is that no advice will truly move you or stick with you unless you allow it to. The moment you start relying on other people to move you just shows laziness. Hence I believe YOU need to come up with your own awesome incentive that helps you stay on track. And motivation’s useless if it’s not consistent, so in the end you must rely on your self-discipline to help you through things!

The sun’s coming back out so I shall start fading gaming away and begin having a much healthier diet and schedule
